FLOOR JACK August 27, 2010 JOHN S. SEIBERT SR. A REAL PIECE OF JUNK NO CASE AND NO LOCKABLE WHEELS SO YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFULL
Casters don't work July 5, 2010 Bill from CT 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Same problem as another reviewer, the rear casters don't work properly. I didn't feel safe raising and lowering the car with the casters jamming so I ended up getting a Torin low profile jack from Walmart for the same $$. Would stay away from this product.
Works well enough May 26, 2010 T. Zhang (Elmhurst, IL) The jack itself seems pretty sturdy and is definitely a huge upgrade over the flimsy scissor jacks that come with most cars. My only real complaint is that the casters (the smaller wheels that pivot) don't roll very well, which doesn't get in the way of operation but does make it harder to move around. The paint chips pretty easily -- a few pieces have flaked off where the handle and jack connect -- but I don't know that I'd expect more at this price.
Needs to go a little higher April 15, 2010 Andrew R. McFeely Very sturdy and easy to use...just wish that it would jack my 2004 Civic up a little higher for more working room under the car.
works fine April 9, 2010 kermit rohrbach (allen, tx, usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As with the other reviewer, I use this for oil changing (with jack stands) and for rotating tires on a small car (Honda Fit). Both this and the Wilmar jack stands work as advertised and seem very well made. For those who have not used a floor jack: when you get it you will need to back off the hydraulic valve with a screw driver a few turns and pump the handle a few times to disperse the hydraulic fluid. Do not get carried away with either the valve or the pumping or you will lose fluid. Then tighten the value and pump it up. If it goes up OK you have done well.
